ehani: If you want useful help, what you need to do is to bullet point every single step you are trying in your effort to get things to work; and every single thing you see in response (error messages and dialogue boxes (with EXACT QUOTES), loading messages, whether you can read the book in the Calibre viewer - every single thing. You need to tell us your OS, the version of the apps you're using - everything. Where you're buying your book. What book it is, what format, how you're downloading it, how you're loading it.

Leaving out steps (like, say, ejecting your reader, or plugging in a cable, or pressing a button, or dragging something from here to there, or whatever) will mean that we have to guess what you're doing and where the process might be failing for you. We're unlikely to guess correctly.

We can't help you with "it doesn't work" or "there was an error message" or "my Kindle wants to do X."

Example of useless information:
"I tried to put a book on my Kindle".

Example of potentially useful information:
"* I bought The Dingleberries of Awesome from Awesomebooks.com [URL] in .mobi format.
* [URL] said that the book was DRM-free.
* On [URL] there was a button to download the .mobi file.
* I downloaded it, using Firefox, to the desktop of my MacBook, which is running OS 10.6.27.
* I then dragged the .mobi file onto an open window of Calibre, version 1.22.
* I have previously used the welcome wizard of Calibre to work with my Kindle Keyboard, and set up Calibre with plugins X, Y, and Z. I have succesfully sideloaded and read .mobi books with this setup and this Kindle before.
* The book showed up in Calibre and I was able to read the text of the book successfully in the Calibre viewer.
* I then..." Etc, etc, etc.
