Oy! I'll have you know that that chair is a genuine 1948 DSW Eames design chair replica. You people are barbarians! (and not in a good way either).

Good design does not compromise on comfort. The "moulded shell seat has a high, flexible back, a deep seat pocket and a waterfall seat edge to promote seating for extended periods of time". Also, to quote from elsewhere, "The organically-formed shell is connected to the metal frame using shock mounts, resulting in a comfortable seat even over long periods". Aesthetically speaking, it will also look totally zhooshy against a simple, minimalist, one-draw, gloss-white ("two-pac") desk.

It also reminds me of school chairs, and I always thought them comfortable. I've always hated "office chairs" - I can never sit still on them.

Have you tried Midnight Oil's Power and the Passion? The drum solo (at about 2:30 in the link) is magnificent, and involves a smashing glass at the end - convenient if you're having a bevvy during your air-drum solo.

I like Massimo's icecream, most any flavour. I'm partial to the Chocolate Fondant, the White Chocolate, the Cinnamon, the Pistachio, the Amaretto and the Rocher. The chocolate chip is nice too. So's the coffee. A waffle-cone with white chocolate and mango sorbet is a lovely combination to eat on the beach during a summer sunset. Macadamia nut is nice as well. Okay, basically all of Massimo's icecream. He's making some across the road at the moment - I can smell the caramel being made (oh yeah, the caramel icecream's nice too - borderline "toffee" flavour).

No. That's wrong. That is awful. I hate that ad. I hate it more than I hate "Australia's Next Top Model". I hate it more than I hate that molded plastic packaging you can't get your purchase out of without a circular saw. I nearly hate it as much as I hate that Will Ferrell keeps making movies, and that people still keep going to watch them. It is a vile, pointless abomination of an ad' - a great idea, well-made, but with absolutely no connection to the product, no conceivable purpose, but even then failing to even enjoy the benefits of utter absurdity. I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it....

(I am also possibly not being rational about this...but you knew that already, pshrynk )

I am currently watching my dogs sitting at the top of the front stairs waiting for OtherDad to return from the dentist. I'm probably due for a dental checkup myself - it's every 25 years you go for one, isn't it?

Cheers,
Marc
