Well, it bugs me when section breaks in fiction aren't displayed properly (as they would be in printed books) in Moon. No such problems in Marvin.
Sure, it depends on one's demands. For most people, even mediocre e-readers like Kindle or iBooks, which I consider unusable for me, would do. Because they do display italics, and bold...
Most of all, as I said, it's the annotations functionality that got me to switch to Marvin as my primary e-reader within 24 hours of discovering it back in 2012.

I don't take notes I read for enjoyment. For Section breaks just add in your own I use *** for this. Calibre will add them if you use their Heuristics option when converting. If it doesn't have custom fonts that is a no sale for me.
