This is very nice. Thanks. Discovered this myself last autumn, but wasn't a good enough person to think of posting a tutorial...
The quality of the source has to be pretty good though. I fooled around quite a bit with fleurons and patterns in not-so-great resolution and found most of the results a bit disappointing.
You can also use Inkscape to draw your own decorations, btw.
