On Android, I haven't found anything better than Mantano, at least with the PDFs I have -- mostly programming books. It's very smooth and fast, has margin cropping, night mode, pretty much all I need.
I should say I only read and don't do annotation, form filling, etc.
Ezpdf has way too many tiny icons. Seems like a glib objection, but I don't like the cluttered interface.
