Millions of outraged people are going to be aiming hatred at not only Adobe but also the publishers. People have been spending hundreds, thousands of dollars on books and they are not going to put up with either having to replace perfectly good machines just so that they can continue to read the books they have already bought. Nor are they going to buy all their books all over again.

People will either start pirating, or complaining to any official that will listen.

I see this ending up in court or congress as well.
