It doesn't surprise me that the gentleman would be using an ereader at age 87. With the fact of how light weight they are and how the font can be enlarged ereaders are an ideal device for older readers. I mean there are the extra large print books we've all seen at libraries, but larger print = more paper and therefore more weight and they only have so many books in the extra large print as well since they take up more space and are probably more expensive for the library to purchase. With ebooks one size fits all since the reader can adjust the size of the font to suit their individual needs.
