Just in case anyone else runs into the same problem, my first attempt to download the anthology seemed to go well, but Calibre complained that it couldn't open it, and that it wasn't valid. A second download worked just fine.

They mentioned high demand -- I suppose that could be causing some problems. When you download it, try to open it as soon as you can, just in case you have to download it again.
