I just finished "Been Down So Long It Looks Like Up To Me," the only book written by Richard Fariņa. It came out in '65 and was an instant hit with the Folk Music/Hippie community, then passed into obscurity quickly. I hadn't re-read it before, and it was a wonderful recreation of those early 'formative years.' Somewhat like 'On The Road,' but not so highbrow... if you can imagine that! LOL!
