You really should have asked here BEFORE buying. We would have told you that:
1. No 6" reader is good for PDFs.
2. PDF is a "terminal" format and doesn't convert well to other formats.
If you need to convert PDF to a reflowable format, the best results are generally obtained by using a good OCR program.
I read my academic PDFs on my iPad. Best device for the job.
