Device: Kindle E-ink
PDF -> AWZ3: no go-to page option

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I bought a Kindle e-ink last week. I spent a month trying to figure out what's the best device for me. I have some pdf textbooks that I read on the subway, but because i can't open a laptop on the subway during rush hour, and I don't want to keep printing my readings every morning, I decided to buy the Kindle (originally wanted the ipad air or nexus 7 but couldn't justify the price for just reading pdfs).

Anyways, now that I have it, I tried uploading a few pdfs to it. The font was too small and it couldn't be changed, so I googled and found that I have to convert my pdf files to awz3. I used Calibre and, aside from having to wait 55 minutes, I now have a pdf file that doesn't contain any of the graphs and exhibits, and I also don't have the option to go to any page numbers. When I press the 'go to' function, the go to page function is not selectable.

If these are the problems with pdfs that have no easy and quick fixes, then I might have to reconsider my kindle

Thanks for your help.
