i have a Kobo Touch n905b with firmware 1.9.16, i want to setup my device for start to use it, it's possible only with Kobo Desktop software and not with wifi (old firmware i think)

i follow instructions, but when i plug kobo to pc for the first time, windows detect it like a removable storage (i can see content) but software kobo Desktop dont detect it.
i cant continue setup, my kobo is not usable, furthermore after this when i plug kobo, i dont see more content

i think maybe there is a problem on the internal storage (sd) or in the software
if is the first there is a way to solve it (like replace sd ....)

ps.
i used differents usb cables, i have done many factory reset, my pc is win 7 64bit
i tried on XP and only after a factory reset, first time i plug usb Software detects kobo, start upgrade download but when try to install it show an error message " no space free in kobo device "
