No one knows when the next version will be out, or if it will support what you need. If it wasn't for the textbook/charts you want, I'd say buy now.

Today, I was sitting the in doctors office, long wait, noisy, etc, but I just turned on my Kindle and surfed MobileRead, when that got boring I checked out Amazon, downloaded yet another book and off to never never land I went.
You have to decide what you need most from an ebook reader.
