How?

Most modern ereaders can get commercial content via WiFi.
All can get content from PC via USB.
Some can download via onboard browsers.
Kindles have a unique email address you can send content to.
Sorry should have made it clear, I want to be able to deliver e-books (required format isn't a problem (e-pub, adw, ...)) directly to the reader via a web front end.

They log onto the website, select the book they want, and in turn get a download link that they can use straight on their device, for Android and iOS devices I'm actually developing my own simple reader, but the concern is for devices like Kobo, Kindle and Sony readers.
