All rename does is change the folder name and update the Library Location.

You could do this in 2 steps:
(calibre not running on the Library)
Rename the Library (the one with metadata.db) with the O/S
Start Calibre: (right click the Library icon) Create/Switch: Use existing at new location <point to the new folder name>
