What a week! I am just glad it's over and may this be a week of recovery for me. One good thing that happen this week is my neighbor moved out well almost they still got some stuff to do but what is ticking me off at the moment is they have left their puppy over there alone for two nights in a row!

Last night something scared her and she went crazy barking. I talk to her through our thin walls letting her know it was okay and it took awhile but she settle down. If she was cat it wouldn't be a big deal but she is just a puppy going without any company at all. They were over there for a hour last night that's it.
An update on my nephew. He's going to need two surgeries on his little arm when he is three months and they are letting him go home for now.

He is so adorable and already so smart he knows my mom and sister voice already.
I think due to all the stress I went on a book buying spree this week!
I bought 14 books!

Jennifer Horsman has marked her books down from $9.99 to $4.95 these have been on my wishlist forever! So with Kobo coupons I got them for under $2.50 a piece!

And yes I know I said I wouldn't buy another historical that was just released but this excerpt got me from page one and I own other Caroline Linden books so I thought I would give it a chance for the price.
I read this week:
Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis (3.5)
I wanted to give this 4 stars but I couldn't being very familiar with Jill's writing I felt she could have done alot better. One thing that bothered me was the heroine. She seems to be like a cat in heat from the moment she laid eyes on the hero! The whole instant lust thing got annoying and this book has no sexual tension in it which Jill is really good at writing and was much needed. There also was a few weak plot points so I settle on 3.5 stars and I am hoping Tara's story will make up for it.
Highland Angel by Jude Deveraux (4.0)
I really hated the heroine through most of the book but I did felt she grew up in the last part of the book and redeemed herself however what happens in the last few chapter was so shocking so while I am so excited to read Velvet Song I think I need a break from the series. More than likely I'll try to read something else and then come back to this series. Raine's story is next and I am so looking forward to it but still dealing with what happened in the last book. I can see why Ms. Deveraux is such a legend. I am sure in the day they were written they were 5 star worthy but I still think they hold up quite well even now.
