If you use Calibre:
You can add the title as an 'Empty book' and Make a (date)column:
ue Date' (lookup: #duedate)with the release date entered.
Search: #duedate:<today
Remember to clear the date when you add the format or use the formats:false
Search: #duedate:<today and formats:false
which says the book is due, but not added to the Library
