I actually used k2pdfopt already, and had good results as far as optimizing page-size and cropped margins, but the 'low memory' error occured anyway.
I never checked, however, about the native or bitmap output. The aspect about the processing power makes sense, I will check it!

I am, however, also really intrigued about jailbreaking it.... it just seems like so much effort.
Is there a way of reversing the jailbreak in a simple way (I remember some script for KT which would install the OS from scratch, for bricked devices...dont remember the name of it though) ?

edit: just saw it! The program that I meant is Kubrick. But it seems rather for unbricking than reversing a jailbreak, and it seems a bit too complicated for me too

@NiLuJe: I saw a yt video of KOReader, and it looks brilliant. Would love to have that one without having to do a jb and messing around with the system (I can't code).
