That's my excuse, too.
That, and "well, sales/discounts are never guaranteed to happen again, so if I see an interesting book on sale now, I might as well get it now instead of paying five times as much when I decide next year that I want it after all".
It's terrible. I still have lots of unread DTBs at home, too, but the obsessive buying there became heavily restricted as I physically ran out of space. With ebooks... yeah. There's a reason I'm in the addicts' thread and am actually trying hard to curb the habit.
In my defence, it's the only hobby I currently have left, now that I don't watch TV (and have stopped buying DVDs which I'll not watch anyway). I'm so glad I never got into computer games beyond small casual things like Plants vs Zombies or some hidden object games.
