Can anyone suggest a good large library capable ereader?

There are discussions about this in other areas of the forum. I can tell you that my Kindle keyboard, Kindle 4, and Nook ST will all slow WAY down once you start approaching 800-900 ebooks. The 1,000 that they claim is just an estimate. All fall short of this number. Tablets don't seem to have these limitations, but I don't really much like using a tablet to read black/white text. They are heavier and harder on the eyes, although perfect for pdf files and anything in color.
There are always going to be technical limitations. Right now, you want a complete library of 2,000 books. In 5 years, they will double the capacity and then you'll want it at 4,000 books. The reality is that you really can archive lots of those books to keep a reasonable number on your device. If not, get a tablet. They are designed for that RIGHT NOW - they just aren't as reader friendly as an ereader.
