I've done that too. At least I usually manage to stick to buying just the next one or next two, but there are some series where I'm 1-3 books in and have another 6-7 waiting, just because they were on sale, and one never knows if they'll ever go on sale again...

I don't usually buy the entire series sight unseen though; I might buy the first two books if they're really cheap and I have "a good feeling" about the series, but that's it. For more, I need to have read at least some of it or be familiar with the author.

I'm still on seven books bought and eleven read this month, so I'm doing okay. I've had a few more finger-hovers-over-buy-button moments for random "ooh, this looks potentially interesting" books, but so far I've resisted anything I hadn't already been aware of and curious about before seeing the sale.

With three February releases already pre-ordered, I do have to be careful, though.
