Yeah, well....I have a couple of books she wrote when she tried her hand at paranormals. I don't think I even finished the first one. She does better at full-length contemporaries.

I don't mind her HQN stories, but to me they're utter fluff. I don't remember them two days later. So if I'm in the mood for something easy and fast, they fit the bill...sometimes I just want to read *something* and I only have a couple of hours and that's when they'll suit.

I think some authors do better with different lengths. When I was buying a lot of Ellora's Cave books 10 years ago, Patrice Michelle was a favorite of mine....but *only* her full length stories. I thought she was horrible at short/novella length (still tried to have as many things and as many peripheral characters in the short ones, and they never wound up being satisfying IMO).
