But there are about 40 books (pdb) which I loaded direct from fictionwise website to ereader on iphone and can't now access due to no way to see files on ios? Any suggestions (clearly I should have saved to computer at the time - did not anticipate fictionwise being shut down, a lesson learnt). Is there an iOS file browser that might access these files?
Yes, there are iOS file browsers that you can install on Windows or Mac computers. However, books bought on Fictionwise require an access code to open. It was different for different types of books and I think it was sometimes linked to the credit card you used to purchase the book. I lost several books when Fictionwise was going under because I could no longer remember their access codes. For most of them I was able to go to Fictionwise and retrieve the access codes before they shut down, but some I never got. So unless you have the access codes, you are SOL I'm afraid.
