I'm not sure what relevance this has to the topic at hand, but manybooks.net has over 40,000 books, and they are all free for the download. The Silk Pagoda DVD have 10,000 ebooks on them for $10. So it is very easy to get thousands of ebooks.

Back on topic... This is one of the great things about the Kindle. I don't need to store 5000 ebooks on it... but with Whispernet and the feedbooks and mobilreader download guides I have access to that many and more in a matter of seconds. I think the feedbooks guide will be even better soon once Hadrien adds summaries for the ebooks to it. Although the file is already pretty big at this point.
