That's odd -- I don't experience any sync problems with pocket. My Aura HD (3.1.1) syncs with pocket when doing a normal sync, or even when just choosing "articles from pocket" from the "library" menu of the home page if wifi is enabled. There is also a "download all" option in the menu of the "articles" page, but I've never bothered to use it since I always seem to be sync'd anyway.
