Good morning! The weather has shifted here, the first (very premature) sign of spring. Or, more accurately, the sign of being past the worst of winter. Our November/December are the really ugly months here, with lots of rain and frequent wind storms.
January can be that, or snow, or what we now have -- morning fog which may or may not ever burn off, and temperatures in the plus single digits (Celsius). Today it's foggy down on the harbour, but we're above it for the moment, and while there are clouds, I can see little spots of pale blue there and there.
If the pattern holds true to form, it will stay like this until somewhere around the end of February, at which point we should start having lots of days where there is at least some sun every single day, and most rain falls in the evening/overnight. Temperatures will start to creep up with overnight lows in the upper single digits and daytime highs into the low-mid teens. With at least one last serious storm to remind you that Mother always bats last.
