It's ok, I've used it for years. Not always the most accurate, IMO, and some authors are in there with different spellings. No idea how the algorithm works.

I mainly find books the old-fashioned way - browsing in libraries, both physical and virtual. I also look at this forum and goodreads (not a member though) and a couple of genre-specific sites that do reviews.
