No offense intended to anyone, but isn't this just the sort of feature that could EASILY be implemented in the settings or better yet on the Font popup dialog so that the user could EASILY select the desired vertical or horizontal layout? Obviously the engine has the ability to display the text either way. Why should we even need to ask for such obvious User based features... This is the sort of stuff that drives me nuts with Kobo. It's the lack of attention to detail, while obviously spending a lot of time to rebuild a home page that a lot of people liked better with the carousel. At least the images were large enough that you could EASILY determine what book it was on the central portion of the carousel.
From a practical standpoint I realize you can't catch everything, or spend a lot of time on it, but come on, this sort of thing should be a near no-brainer.
