Yep, however the original libraries of Alexandria were destroyed, and by whomever's hands (and perhaps mother time also played a part) it is a relief to know that some of the contents had already been moved as this article from

Let's hope that the Tripoli Library had digital copies of all it's content, and that there was an off site storage facility.
