None has completely broken down, but as they've developed various problems, giving me an excuse to get a new one, I have.
My first one (the second model) started having a pretty short battery life. I could charge it every couple of days or replace, so I replaced it with a touch right when they came out.
The touch has been freezing often for months. I was able to fix it by restarting it a time or two, but lately that has been less getting worse (I have to restart it 10 times or more) so I'm replacing it with a Paperwhite (my first one had a small screen defect so the replacement is arriving tomorrow).
