Yep, the book's are generally dearer here, but if Kobo is mimicking Amazon's Daily Deal then they need to round it off at the $2 mark and below.
Kobo do sell books at $4.99 and below here, and had a right side column at one stage linking the viewer to books in your chosen category that were $4.99 and below. Although I've just looked and can't find that now - and it may have been removed.
If this Daily Deal is new for Kobo Aus, and I think it may have only started today (or maybe yesterday?) then they should've put a book with a price that would ensure the consumer considers looking at the site every day, instead of people saying the obvious - they got it wrong, lol.
