If you can get to New Hampshire in 3 hours from NYC, then it's quite likely you'll have to pay a hefty speeding ticket (I live in southern New Hampshire and have family just outside NYC). And the cost of the gas to get here and back to NYC will cost more than the $25 dollars or so in sales tax.
