The Mule among us

"For those who believe that a network interface is an optional"

I've built a gui-less version of aMule 2.2.2 (amuled) for iLiad which can be managed through a web browser (see screenshot #3).

Instructions:
  1. Unzip wherever you prefer
  2. Start. Actually the app won't work yet but it will create a /home/root/.aMule folder with conf files. You have at least to perform these basic configurations steps:
    • Set AcceptExternalConnections=1 in amule.conf
    • Set the ECPassword -> amuled --ec-config
    • Update start.sh to match your password (default is abracadabra)
    • Copy valid server.met and nodes.met files in the .aMule folder
  3. Restart

The web server responds at port 8080.

Please refer to http://www.amule.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page for further configurations.

I may be wrong but I think this can be considered one of the most energy-efficient mules in the world .
