@kovidgoyal: Guess that's where we're different - I like to be able to visualize the structure before tinkering with it. Outliners, desktop wikis and the like are popular, because they show things in a structured and - to my mind - orderly way, while this - still: to my mind - is messy and jumbled.
@AnotherCat: This is not about the merge plugin, the two images I uploaded are just samples. Of course other files may have other virtues/problems. The thing for me is to be able to view things in a structured way. (Isn't that what xml is all about
