I find the high-resolution screen essential for browsing websites, too. On a small screen like that of the Nexus 7, many webpages open with tiny fonts by default. The ultra-sharp screen often allows you to read those webpages without bothering to zoom in and out all the time. This convenience is not quite there on previous-generation screens.
I'm likewise thoroughly impressed by the 2013 Nexus 7. But, I'd still say the iPad has an edge over it -- particularly thanks to the plethora of
tablet-optimised 3rd-party iOS apps. I find iOS 7, however, utterly hideous compared to Android 4.4 KitKat. (Not to mention the jailed environment.)
