Sony purchases that are downloaded should show in this folder by default. Also any ACSM file that is opened with the Sony Reader desktop software will result in the EPUB to be downloaded to this folder whether it is from your local library or another bookstore such as Kobo.
Your posts says that you deleted original files after loading them into calibre & its storage folders so perhaps that is why you no longer see books in the Sony folder. Maybe you deleted them awhile ago and forgot?
