I still enjoy reading from my Galaxy Note 1, 16x10 instead of the narrower 16x9.
Touchwizz is not much of a problem imo, and you can put on other ROMs.

But I would recommend an OLED screen above a TFT/LCD/IPS, unless you mind light letters on black background. OLED does not have backlight, so no backlightbleeding but pure even black.
