I've been happy with just viewing programs 1 and 2 of The Killing, not wanting to get the books. Absolutely gripping and extraordinary dramas.

But series 3 - I want to read the book. I still can't believe the ending!!! I'm still yelling out (silently) to her not to do it!!!!

I've read a number (perhaps all?) of Hewson's Nic Costa series, so I'll be interested to read his take on The Killing 3.
