A journal which particularly inspired me was "A Writer's Diary" by Virginia Woolf. You'll find it in the MR library in her Complete Works.

This is of interest to those who want to write. I'll have a quick look for soldiers' diaries.

What about "The Diary of Anne Frank"?

Just google "War diaries" (without the quote marks) and loads of possibilities can be found.
