Trying to help my mom figure out what is going on with her 2008 Vista desktop while talking to her on the phone is not easy. It keeps shutting down/freezing, then on restart it says "disk boot error, please insert ect ...." Finally found out that there is a clicking sound sometimes. It sounds like the hard drive is going, so we will be looking for a cheap desktop; something to be able to play solitaire and check email sometimes. Internet is only available through her home phone line and even that is hit and miss.
