Barba, I don't understand your item #1. Can you rephrase? Adding a background image does
not activate any color, as far as I'm aware.
As to the 4 font varieties -- yes, that menu is awkward and geeky in Moon+.
Just activate the "regular" font variety to get the standard display of texts (which does include italics, bold wherever appropriate).
