Today there was a news item on Dutch tv that in the last couple of years more and more under 16s are robbing people. They aren't even doing it for the booty but for kicks and because they egg each other on.

We have an infestation here, something called "The Knockout Game," in which young men (teens, it seems) run up to some unsuspecting older person, usually from behind, mind you, and smash them in the head, knocking them to the ground or unconscious. These attacks are videotaped, replete with the laughing thugs, and put up on YouTube and other video-sharing sites. It seems to be prevalent in major cities, at the moment, but who knows when it will migrate to smaller ones?
