Hm, yes. But to do so, I'll have to import the book into Calibre proper, thus causing it to be copied to the Calibre library folder (the file even gets renamed in the proces), and when I update the metadata, Calibre inserts the updated meta PLUS a host of calibre-specific meta, which I find less than desirable.

I don't seem to be able to open the metadata editor as standalone, so ... would it be possible to integrate it in the editor somehow?

Or am I perhaps missing some point here???
