That's crazy! What a scam! It's a good thing the free apps satisfy me. Whenever the ads or in-app purchase pop-ups get to be too much, I delete the app and find another one.

It reminds me of that junk they sell on TV that costs $10 plus processing and handling ($7.95). Act now and they'll give you a free one; just pay more processing and handling ($7.95). By the time you're done, you've spent $26 for a $10 purchase. The scam lies in those processing fees.
