The version of calibre you're using is very old. Is there some reason you haven't installed a newer version (current is 1.17)? I don't know whether this will fix your problem but the calibre Kobo device drivers are being updated all the time.

Edit: I've just checked, v9.43 dates from around August 2013, which was before the Aura 6" was released, so an update may well fix your problem.
