All custom fields begin with a:
Pound/hashmark (#)
#nosynch:true

you can still use a column that is not displayed, but Preferences: Add Your Own Columns: has a tisk for which to show and changing the order of the list controls WHERE on the spreadsheet.

You did RESTART Calibre after adding the column
