I pre-ordered mine on Thursday, and applied for a SonyCard credit card, which is currently offering a $150 credit on qualifying first-purchase of an item over $299 (they list the 700 at $399). So it should (if everything works out properly) cost me only $250 after the credit is applied.

I'm moving up from the 500.
