I'll jump in on the req discussion - I found and read this series over the last couple of months which is probably why it is still resounding with me, but the reason it resounded in the first place is because the author has strong feelings regarding the care military vets get (esp those suffering PTSD) and writes realistically yet optimistically about it. These are romances, no doubt about it, and follow the HEA formula, but she does not gloss over the real affects of PTSD or the real problems facing our vets. She also donates some of her proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project. The series isn't finished and she also appears to have a spin-off one, but you can read each as a stand-alone, though I do suggest the pre-quel as it sets the feeling and tone of the series.

Lost And Found Series - J.M. Madden
The Embattled Road - pre-quel
Embattled Hearts
Embattled Minds
Embattled Home - due out any time...
