After reverting back to FW 2.8.1b, I decided to try upgrading directly to 3.1.1 (bypassing 3.1.0). And guess what? It's been 2.5 days and my Aura HD is still at 100%! I don't know if the problem was with 3.1.0 and just carried through to 3.1.1 (seems doubtful, but at this point, who knows?), but it appears that my battery problem is gone. (I originally upgraded from 3.0.0 to 3.1.0, then to 3.1.1. When I started having problems with 3.1.1, I did a factory reset and upgraded to 3.1.0 to see if the problem was with 3.1.1. This time I did a factory reset, upgraded to 2.8.1b, then upgraded to 3.1.1. Presto, changeo--battery problem is gone.) For what it's worth.
