It's not about logical grouping, that only works up to a point. There is simply no avoiding overlap to occur at some point due to the use of same tags in both collections. In Calibre it could work because of hierarchical tags, but since Marvin doesn't use hierarchical collections, this would end up as many collections in Marvin, too many for my taste.

EDIT: I solved it however differently by modifying the plugin, (see my original post)
